Fashion Snoops is all about answering the needs of creative teams. That is why our trend teams are made up of merchandisers and designers - not only reporters. We planned the service to answer information gaps that we personally identified while designing and merchandising lines.

In our aim to be practical, we adopted a "hands-on" approach to trend reporting which is designer and merchandiser-friendly. Here are some examples of how that approach comes into play:

We cover trends separately for each market / gender, thus allowing our members to get directly and quickly to information that is relevant to them.

Understanding the time constraints under which creative teams work we bring the information in a digestible form, while offering an option to view more photos and get deeper into the conversation at hand

We simultaneously bring forecasting information for planning the next seasons along side confirmation information (from retail, streets, trade shows, etc) for previously forecasted trends

We follow the design seasonal timeline: We start the season with runway analysis and other early indications and continue with with weekly reports from the retail floor (by store and by fashion themes). In the midst of the season we focus on hot issues like screens, fabrics and continuous reports about "what's selling" in key indicative stores. At the end of the season, we feature street looks and highlight the successful items of the season

We present runway information as soon as the shows happen (featured by by city / designer). Once all the runways end, we bring our in depth analysis and interpretation of the common colors, themes and key bodies

In our By City reports we gather information by individual stores so you can see what is happening at retail now

We offer completely usable retail merchandised collections with suggested Pantone-coded colors, as well as fully layered sketches and specifications of key bodies that the design team can download and manipulate in any design tool such as Freehand or Illustrator

Fashion Snoops Kids (boys, girls)

Kidswear-oriented information from both the junior and kidswear markets

This service was created to answer the specific needs of childrenswear fashion professionals creating lines for boys (8 to 20) and girls (7 to 16). The service includes forecasting information based on childrenswear and junior runway, trade shows and other events that influence fashion. The boys and girls services feature children’s and pertinent junior retail information including store shots, street reports, merchandised collections, reports on key items, prints, screens, embroideries and more.

The main difference between the kids and the junior services is the way we interpret and translate trends. The two services are created and maintained by separate design teams each with relevant design and merchandising backgrounds.

Kids companies can no longer rely on simply watering down junior looks or sistering lines. The reality is that this is a market segment with its own definition and requirements. We address that in our reporting. The coverage in the kids focuses on trends in the junior markets that directly effect the next trends in the kids market. To complete the picture we also cover current trends in the kids market. The merchandised collections and the downloadable illustrations we offer also reflect the key bodies that should comprise a kids line.

In the junior sections we naturally focus on product from the junior market and therefore we cover more junior related retail points. The collections and the downloadable illustrations we offer also reflect the key bodies that should comprise a junior line.
