Cozy jackets, lined pants, long sleeved body suits and chunky layered tops and sweaters are on deck at these great retailers. The news here is that parents are gravitating towards a more traditional look with powder blues trimmed in white. All of the retailers featured this classic look and most offered a secondary palette of neutrals from tans to paprika and mocha. Take a closer look! Bon Marche DPAM Printemps Zara Bon Marche Bon Marche was selling out of tan pinwale pants paired with reverse knit striped sweater sets. The associate also pointed out that powder blue athletic sweaters, lined knit jackets and fleece pants have also been blowing out. Parents of older boys have been gravitating towards striped sweaters and vests, cargo bottoms and chunky marled sweaters. Click on the photos below to enlarge! Top DPAM At Du Pareil au Meme the best sellers are classics with a twist we are told. Denim coveralls feature a jumbo red zip and novelty straps. Also hot have been neutral separates with frayed hems, appliquéd shapes and other style details. The chunky cardigan with suede pocket was a great mover as has the classic cream shirt set with cuffed knickers. Take a closer look at the shirt; elbow patches make it new! Here, as with the other retailers in the city, classic powder blues and spicy neutrals have been selling well, we are told. The associate also told us that sets have been the best sellers overall. Neutral overalls with colorblocked knit tops have been selling well as have the powder knit boucle jumpers with white tees and give away booties. Cardigans have been hot both in solid and in contrast trim versions. The associate also pointed to the wall of cream colored coordinates in sweater knits that have been moving well. Click on the photos below to enlarge! Top Zara Zara’s selection of best sellers includes a range of comical faux layered tees with appliquéd comic book onomatopoeia. Washed orange and powder blues have been key for that item. The bottom story here has been lined pants with details such as lamb chop pockets or elastic cuffs for the small guys and rather simple but comfortably laundered pull on cords for the older toddlers. Zara’s outerwear always blows out according to the associate and this season’s winners include the updated pea coats, shearling jackets and parkas in powder blue.
