We know the knitting clubs have been spreading out with men and women gathering into pubs to 'stitch and bitch' another craft revival trend emerging is sewing. This one is not so easy to meet in a pub as far as fabrics and sewing machines are required, but for entrepeneurs with a lack for sewing space may now find the sewing cafe, or sewing club, or sewing blogg. |

After teaching sewing classes and finding a huge increase in the number of
students interested in sewing their own clothes, Linda Eilers decided to
open her own sewing café, called Linkle in Berlin which is open from Tuesday
to Sunday 1-10pm. Anyone can walk in and are charged by the hour.

Contact: Wrangelstrasse 80, 10997 Berlin
Also craft revival related is the Stitch Lounge located in Sanfransisco which is a way to introduce kids to sewing and a creative way to have a Birthday party, wher you can choose fabrics and theme and all the kids learn to sew and leave with their creation. Also they offer classes for all ages a great way to have an evening out with friends and a little out of the ordinary.
So if there is a craft revival forming in your neighborhood I would like to learn a little more.....
