Embroideries
November 24, 2004

For babies and infants embroideries are always the first choice of design because they are versatile and can be used in addition to screenprints for special effects. Appliquéd fabrics are stitched in the shape of the design for contrast color and texture. Currently, variations of stitching are key such as zig zag, blanket stitching and random stitching to accentuate a grungy look. For little ones it's always fun to add a 3D element to the design such as a padded character, fringe detail or chenille sttitching. These designs are collected from fashion retailers in Europe, North America and Tokyo.

Cutesy animal characters are key for little boys. For this time of year penguins and polar bears are good choices to make a seasonal graphic stories. Three D effects are fun and creative such as fringe on a horse or fish attached to a string.

Add three D texture such as chenille or appliqué a textured fabric such as looper or polar fleece to accentuate the design.
