This week we take a close look at the most important sweater silos for boys. While vests continue to be important and should be included in your trend groups and key items, it is the light weight sweaters and pop overs that are making the most noise. Some are even considering light weight sweaters as an alternative to the fleece hoodie! So hop onto sweater styling now with these downloadable sketches and details and check back next week when we feature more key silhouettes!

The sweater is an important garment for the fall and winter season. Fine gage knits as well as heavy gage knits are on all the runways for the little guy. Raglan and set in sleeves are the two options but the key is in the details. Try inserts in a saddle sleeve, off side openings in a raglan sleeve, and unique rib details in "V" necks. For the vest, neck lines can be crew or "V" with such details as tipping, jacquards, and the newest treatment is the screen printing over knits.
