CIFF Kids brought together a wealth of Scandinavian childrenswear designers to showcase their spring/summer 2009 collections. The show consisted mainly of Danish and Swedish designers who put great focus on designing clothes that kids really want to wear.

Bold colors such as purple, orange and green were very strong and generally used to create eye-catching conversational prints using cars, farm houses and nature. On the other side of the color spectrum white, pale blues and camel reigned and were used in stripe and check formations.

The strong focus on detailing gave clean silhouettes a luxe feel, generally restricted to high-end Italian and French childrenswear brands. Scandinavian design has received a lot of success in recent years, and it seems it is now filtering through to the childrenswear market.
