HomeMini Snoops > Shows: Fall Preview 2005

The fall 2005 preview ahead for boys is in and it’s calling for layers and more layers. Whether it’s the English gentleman or the modern urbanite, the key is to pile it on! Tees get a sense of retro with collegiate numbers and stripes while knits are marled and hooded. Pants get action with loose fitting styles and roll-up details. The underlying color palette on the runways includes a metallic mix of browns, greens, and grays.

Take a look at Fall 2005’s strongest themes below!

50's Alpine
Head for the slopes! This collection is all about skiing as layers pile on giving a retro feel. Think stripes on knits and number appliqués on wovens. Jeans tough up with patches on the knees. Colors include rustic browns and blues. This collection is great for outerwear including oversized parkas with fur trim, striped scarves, and ski hats.

2025 AD
Think shine and metallic. Futuristic looking nylon fabrics in cool silver and gray set the tone. Screens are also updated with metallic prints in bronze and silver. On denim, look for oversized trend patches.

Bad Boys
It’s all about the biker theme! Clothes with leather and chains tough up the image. Key items are loose jeans and pants with trucker wallets and puffy leather jackets. Dark stone wash denim is also important with orange as an accent color. Biker theme patches and screen prints on tees round out the trend.

City Slickers
Schoolboys get new and refined city looks. Clean-cut straight pants meet striped and argyle sweaters for an ultra clean-cut appeal. Gray and green are the most important colors here. Layering of woven hoodies and sweaters complete the look.
