Kids' Fashion Brussels

Spring/Summer 2004 starts in Brussels

KID'S FASHION BRUSSELS opened its doors June 22-24th on the upcoming spring season with over 200 top collections from every corner of Europe. The hall was divided into two very distinct areas, one housing the more 'dressy' collections while the other was devoted to the more sporty and fun collections. The fashion show also reflected these two distinct mind sets. Dressy fashions at the fair included layered easy linens, prim dresses and refined earth tone colors. The sporty and denim collections were top notch with all of the details, fabrications, themes and trims you would expect.

Take a closer look at the runway offerings from Kids Fashion Brussels!

Girls Hall
Brights and easy denim flavored blues are offset by crisp whites.

Boys Hall
Layered looks capitalize on the easy going boy thing. Denim is well worn and super long while shorts are now shown mid calf in a clam digger shape. Earth and nautical tones dominate.

Denim & Sportswear Runway
Details, and more details are on the menu! Pleated, contrasted, pocketed and layered denims are newest with a flared gaucho shape on deck for girls and a long clam digger short the key for boys. Denim color is always an issue but here the definite stance is light for girls and dark for boys!

Sportswear Runway
Layers of natural fabrications give an almost sculptural tone to the fashions here. Head to toe monochrome is new as are novel skirt over pant layers.

Swim Runway
Tropical and ethnic destinations are the inspiration for the new swim season. Bright florals and color blocks are one avenue while subdued paisley and stripe motifs offer an alternative.
