HomeMini Snoops > Shows: Fall Preview 2005

The forecast is in for fall 2005, and it looks like anything goes! We’ve seen everything from soft and romantic styling to city sleek and funky looks. One thing is for sure; gray is the most important color of the season. Whether it’s mixed with ballerina pinks or bright vintage crochets, it acts a clean neutralizer. Prints are important too, ranging from cartoon characters to flowers and plaids. Chunky layers and appliqués also play an important role. Take a look at some of the best themes going forward!

Take a closer look at some of the highlights from the Fall Preview 2005:

5th Avenue Chic
Uptown classic styles are fun again! Plaids are vital for this group and look great balanced out with solid red, pink, or blue. Hints of leopard print in pants look classy worn with pale blue. Checkered pants and preppy skirts are key and are worn under toggle tie coats or pea coats to complete the uptown look.

Grayscale
As the name implies, gray is the new black this season. From top to bottom, we’ve seen gray versions of everything. This trend is especially important for knits and works well in marled sweaters when it is next to winter white and taupe colors. Also consider mixing gray with pastel blues and pinks for a fresh look.
