This seasons Pitti Filati presented a fine showing of yarns in the ever growing market of Eco-friendly materials with “Eco-Luxe”. The Eco-Luxe forum presented yarns of organic cotton, naturally dyed cotton, bio linen, hemp, broom, nettle, bamboo, soy, casein, maize, milk fiber, chitosan chitin (a fiber obtained from crab shells) just to name a few. The effort on Pitti Filati’s end is just another indicator of the progression of everything properly GREEN.

The general trend area was focused on an marine theme, featuring “most elegant, abstract, playful and colorful aspects of what goes on, in, under and on top of the water”.The aquatic theme is also present in the colors chosen for the show.

  concept   Nature is reassuring and it is esthetically perfect. Beauty is wellness, physical and emotional harmony and it is the source of elegance. Fleeting: multifaceted, three-dimensional, holographic Wavy. Projecting, uneven. Fancy structures that recall fish scales Frothy and gelatinous Strong, but lightweight Tweeds and boutonnés are revisited and refreshed with a crepe hand Plissé Denim and pinstripe looks The extras: origami-like pleats, nylon trims, leather processed to look and feel like paper. Semiprecious stones, gold and silver dust.
