The biggest street scene happening right now in Paris is Tecktonik. It's especially followed by youths in Paris and refers to the music genre which is a blend of Belgian techno with hardstyle and has its own dance moves inspired by electro and hip-hop. In Paris, Châtelet is the stomping ground for guys and girls practicing their moves or just hanging out. It also makes sense then that there's a good selection of Tecktonik "specialists" in the area from clothing and kicks to hair stylists.

The look is a mix of 80s techno-acid looks, slim-cut rocker jeans and cyber-punk hairstyles(cue the spiky mullet!).

Keep in mind that while Tecktonik is a youth culture, it's put together in a very Parisian way, so the look is neat and precise with slim silhouettes (skinny and straight jeans or utility pants). Sometimes make-up is involved, such as a star around one eye. Graphic tee shirts in neon colors are essential (and also linked to London's Nu Rave scene) and often times, graffiti baseball caps top off the look, along with the distinct purple or blue American Apparel hoodie. For footwear, branded kicks bring on more color though it's not uncommon to see guys wearing pointed, lace-up black or white shoes.
