In its 23rd year, Winter Music Conference is regarded as the singular networking event in the dance music industry. The event encompasses every aspect of the electronic music industry including the top technological innovators, music producers, radio and video programmers, audio manufacturers, record labels reps and most fashionably, legendary DJ's and serious party people. On top of all the panel discussions and demos of the latest DJ gadgets, there are, of corse, endless parties! When an event draws in the top DJ's from around the world to sunny South Beach in the middle of March, you can bet that the parties start at noon and run til early morning. With all the high profile wheeling and dealing, record labels, energy drinks, and clothing and sneaker companies sponsor parties and product giveaways to keep the fun flowing. Every bill is packed with amazing DJ's and performances. Every dance floor is poppin' with amazing dancers while music and fashion professionals exchange cards and make connections.

The digital music industry, especially DJing, is predominately guys, so WMC is the place to be for fresh mens fashion. Most DJ's are "sneakerfiles" - the type of guys who will sleep outside a store to be the first to get limited edition sneakers. For this reason, sneaker companies like Onitsuka Tiger are on site to hand out free kicks to well known DJ's and their entourage. The 90s are going strong in every realm, especially sneakers, tagged up styles and metallics everywhere. Guys dug up their acid wash and neon jeans and old skool shirts from bugle jeans to Bell Biv DeVoe and topped it off with big bright shades. As for tee shirts, be sure to check out our separate graphics report to see the freshest graphic trends. Bling isn't just for chicks, guys rocked more jewelry than some girls! All things musical from iced out cassette tapes to boom boxes were covered in gold and diamonds.
