The biggest street scene happening right now in Paris is Tecktonik. It's especially followed by youths in Paris and refers to the music genre which is a blend of Belgian techno with hardstyle and has its own dance moves inspired by electro and hip-hop. In Paris, Châtelet is the stomping ground for guys and girls practicing their moves or just hanging out. It also makes sense then that there's a good selection of Tecktonik "specialists" in the area from clothing and kicks to hair stylists.

The look is a mix of 80s techno-acid looks, slim-cut rocker jeans and cyber-punk hairstyles(cue the spiky mullet!).

Keep in mind that while Tecktonik is a youth culture, it's put together in a very Parisian way, so the look is neat and precise with slim silhouettes (skinny jeans are a must with matching colored tops and footwear). Brightly colored limited edition Nike or Reebok high-tops are seen on sporty girls and patent pumps for the posers. Slim-fit hoodies and bomber jackets top things off with accessories like baseball caps, keffiyeh scarves and the ever-present American Apparel athletic bag.
