Lifestyle meets runway meets the world of fine art. The Fall 08/09 runway season brings navy, mustard and ketchupy reds back in bold defiance which haven't been seen since the days of Roy Lichtenstein. As a refresher, Lichtenstein was the ultimate master of stereotype and the most sophisticated of the major pop artists. He was most known for his analysis of visual convention and ironic exploitation of past styles.

Menswear designers in both Paris and Milan used navy or black base colors with pops of true blue, yellow and red that recall Lichtenstein's aesthetic. But designers aren't the only ones to get into this color scheme, stylists of both fashion and interior glossys are going mad over these Lichtenstein-like color ways.
