J.Crew's got a new sister in town. We've talked about it before and now it’s arrived for good. Madewell’s got a brand new shop in Soho that looks to us just a tad Southern. It’s got pretty preppy appeal with an apparent country touch. For Spring they’re showing bubble skirts, babydoll tops, tons of cardigans and sweet prints.


It does seem as though they’re going through some minor bumps along the road, with incomplete size runs and crammed racks. Will be interesting to follow this pre-J.Crew concept moving forward, since they’ve progressed positively from when they first did a pop-up store last summer. 532 Broadway at Spring Street, New York City.
