The
Bread and Butter urban brand show is quickly becoming
the key venue to see and be seen at. The brand roster
was swollen with up and coming and established denim
brands like Levi's, FCUK, Scotch and more while the
guests and buyers included folks from all over the world
and represented stores such as Fred Segal (Los Angeles),
Colette (Paris), Jones (London) and Isetan (Tokyo).
So why all of the fuss?
BBB is one of the few venues where denim is explored
in all of its forms from hip hop to punk to street and
retro and all under one roof. There are stands, runway
shows and performance artists on hand to drive home
brand messages and to show off the latest looks and
vibes. The feel of the show is artsy and in tune with
the current "mid century revisited" vibe that is
so important with respect to clubbing, decor and head
space. And besides, Berlin is the city to shop if you
have any energy left after seeing the show!
We blanketed the show with several
reporters and photographers so that you could get the
feeling that you were there. We zeroed in on trendspotting
by way of snapping show guests and parties, we locked
in on key booths and brands and we covered all of the
runway shows too. Lastly, we focus on the visual art
content of the show as seen inside and outside of the
booths so that you can get a sense of the up and coming
graphics vibe as well. Enjoy! Viel Spass!
