Magic wrapped
up September 1st and the show can be summed up as the best
it has been in years. We saw more brands, more browsing and
more
product than in years past. Highlights from the show include incredible
graphics ( be sure to check out the graphics reports for more),
stunning denim, very hip menswear, well styled kid’s collections and
tons of variety for junior and contemporary women. Be sure to check out each
section for the top trends and best brands from the show floor!

| There
is a mix of old and new at Magic;
that is everything old, is new! Aging
is key for knit tops and tees of
every description. Embellishment
is heaped onto jeans and tees alike with heavy embroidery seen
everywhere. Ethnic blouses are concurrent with that theme and we see
Seven taking the look into a Mexican look with indigenous Mexican
styled blouses. Mansy pants are also still out there with heavy camo
clamdiggers getting feminized with embroidery and art for newness. In
terms of new silos, we are seeing boyish bermuda shorts ( that look
especially cute with a nautical flavor), skirts with bustles (or
simply back interest!) and funnel necked fleece toppers. Roll up cuff
minis and vests in denim are must haves, especially if they are studded
or embroidered. Lastly, The OC is poised to hit the market with their
show derived styles. These goods will be available for order on the

ruffled skirts, matching tie-dyed tops and
skirts, and screen printed off the shoulder
tees are hot this season. This
collection incorporates earthy tones mixed with a relaxed Californian
vibe of draping skirts and comfy tank tops. Detail includes gathers,
flowers, and jewels. |
| Determine
to branch to every girl’s dream this
collection’s color palette is soft pinks
and purples in comfy cottons. Betty Boob, Green
Day, and Disney Princesses are incorporated
for an all over girl look. |
| Great
tie-dyed dresses, floral prints, and lace shawl-like
skirts create the ultimate bohemian effect.
Details include lace,
embroidered flowers, and jeweled denim for a girly touch. Color fading
tunics and flowing skirts are key. |
| Flowers
and butterflies are intricately places on these
silhouettes perfect for those girly girls.
Sweet halter dresses
and embroidered denim is key. Pinks, purples, and blues are combined
for a funky effect. |
