Both traditional and refreshed nautical details are showing up at retail. Anchor appliques and button plackets are cool on sweaters and on the yokes of pants and skirts. Rope trims emerged last year and they are hanging on as a belt or cinched tie for bottoms and anoraks alike. Finally, large grommets, like those seen on sails, are showing up on pants and to house drawstrings; now that's a great new adaptation!
