INSTALLATION ART
 

The installation art area is where you need to spend some time. The inspiration you will see here can be used for tees, branding, booths, marketing; you name it. In a general sense, these installations reflect the rise and respect of art in fashion. With all of the intense personalization and differentiation in the market, art becomes the language that evokes emotion and creates the basis for that relationship with one brand or another. These brands and booths have captured both the style and message and are delivering them to an ever sharper audience. Look for a pointed increase in art content stateside as well as this is perhaps the leading trend to come out of Europe at this time.

Specifics to note: Several ‘bites’ of one color art layered on top of one another, collages, natural and neutral colors popped with primaries and nearly neons, anti-consumption political messages, graffiti, sticker book like collections of visuals in one screen, highly individualized character art and bright doodles were all seen here.

ART TEES
 
In the art tees section you will see that the art direction we noted at the last show still holds true. Many of the same themes are continuing with skulls, western looks, 80’s retro repeat looks and juxtaposed art on the floor again. Humor, music and novel placement strategies also still continue to be important.
