Coterie showed September 18-20 in New York and offered a heavy duty showcase of brands in ladies contemporary as well as junior brands. As usual, we shopped the show to bring you brands that should be on your radar!

A few of the overall trends we picked up on present throughout the show presented itself with bold placement, exaggerated screens and “feel good” graphics. Colored denim and vintage details continue to be strong and the wide-leg is showing as a must have on silhouettes. Cropped jackets and loose silhouette dresses are still popular for the junior and contempo set. Crafty embellishments, exaggerated buttons and metallic fabrications and finishes are elements considered for special pieces. Mixed patterns and fabrics are also added for a vintage appeal or sleek dressy sportswear look.
