The unveiling of Spring '09 collections at WWDMagic this year were filled with affordable, trendy offerings that are perfect for both layering or wearing alone. Ethnic printed scarf style tops, Lumberjack shirts in casual fabrics, Dip Dyed knits in longer lengths and Asymmetrical style skirts and bottoms were some of the show's real highlights. Transparent shirt dresses and other loose fitting silhouettes in silk blends were perfect pieces for the transitional weather Spring brings. There were a number of brands showcasing their Latex leggings which sold across the board from black to silver. Overall its safe to say that you can find just about every haute trend you desire, and easily get the luxe look for less.

We found several cool brands offering High Waisted bottoms, Short Shorts and lightweight, versatile pieces for Spring. Neon Denim & Tie Dyed cropped styles were amongst some of our favorite pieces by Alexis N. Deep, dark indigo Flare leg jeans by Boom Denim were the brand's best selling style due to the cut that gives the elongating leg look ladies are after. Cest Taoi's full line of interesting silhouettes included a bubble dress with a shirred top. Cropped Boyfriend Jeans were a big hit at both Kut & STS this season. Denim looks lighter and slightly more recycled for the upcoming season.

Magic Accessories was full of unexpected, unique touches that are simply perfect for the Spring season! Thicker, Rounder frames in Eyewear looked extra fresh in Dip Dyed Plastic at AJ Morgan. 70s style, multi-material Day Clutches and handbags with Python by Mimsy, were the perfect blend of luxe and playful. Steve Madden showcased a variety of trendsetting styles that included Fringe, Peace Signs, and Cut Out details. The brand also launched a line called Steve Madden Fix which fills a niche in the market for colorful sneakers in hip yet fashion forward styles (especially the hi-tops)! A line of custom-made Glass Blown accessories including jewelry and belt buckles in a range of colors by She's Crafty was indefinitely on of Magic's hidden gems. It was great to see the full collection of Gauze-like scarves by D&Y printed with some of Spring's most recognizable Symbols. BCBG Generation just launched its new line of accessories, and we loved the mock Ostrich Embossed Hobo to hold all of our necessary items. Celeste Stein Hosiery was undoubtedly the shows must-see line of leg wear!
