Hard Wear

Thank jersey for this one. Contrasting anything to jersey is no easy task, but hard wear is a sure-fire way to go from brass claps to nail heads and grommets. We've even seen some light knits go the way of hard wear which leads us to believe that these subtle details are here to stay.

It's Geometric

There are things you'll hear us keep repeating for Fall 07 - from jersey to dresses to geometrics. One thing is certain - it is a print market! No matter the classification it's all about prints (move over screens). Opticals and geometrics of any sort do the trick and look especially good when there are contrasts of different boarder prints or a change in colorway. There is also a 70s Pucci-esque thing going on too.

Jersey Girl

Prints and jersey are the match of the season! Here we see all sorts of jersey used in a variety of ways from dressier dresses to mix-match tops and the new loungewear pieces (move over terrycloth and velour). Naturally hand is super important when it comes to choosing jersey and with its great drape, don't forget about details like braiding, cinching or rouching.

Yoke Detail

It looks better than it sounds. Going back to our number one classification, dresses (and some cute tunic-y tops too) a great option for newness is a contrast fabric, color or detail on the yoke. There are a lot of playdoll or Little House on the Prairie things going on, but it's not all THAT cutsey. Take some hints from Orangia or Language which spruced up yokes with covered buttons or grommets.
