The brands represented at Project showcased some of the world’s finest fashions for the Contemporary market.  From Dresses in sweet silhouettes to tailored luxe Pajama pants, there were plenty of new Spring shapes to choose from this season. Peacock Prints and Tribal Themes were plentiful. Tastefully Embellished Caftans and Lightweight Outerwear were amongst the must have items at the show. Exhibitors clearly went out of their way to display their true talents and go the extra mile to offer original yet very sellable merchandise. We were glad to see the amount of Environmentally Friendly brands that proudly Produce Domestically, is growing as rapidly as, the number of designers offering Seasonless staples this year!

Some of our favorite pieces included: Morphine Generation’s cool, comfy street-wear, Cory Lynn Calter’s sweetheart strapless dress, KAS Caftan with blue glass stone detail, McGinn’s lightweight anorak, Lap’s embellished appliqué tanks, Suh Than’s draped jersey cowl neck top, Georgie’s peacock print pants, Kitchen Orange’s strapless mini dress and LTB’s striped grandfather cardigan!

Project is known for showcasing just about every Premium Denim brand in the industry. With economical woes comes, a new niche in the market called Sub-Premium denim. The Boyfriend Jean was this season’s must have Denim item at Project! Clean, Cropped styles remain strong, while Trouser Pants complete with Suspenders caught the attention of fashion’s innovators. Many exhibitors were using Over Dyed wash treatments and quality Japanese fabrics to give their jeans an edgy feel. Destroyed looks sold especially well in cut off denim shorts. Colored denim in slim silhouettes remains trendy this season.

Denim Highlights include: People’s Liberation colored stovepipes, Goldsign’s Jane Birkin jean, AC’s flap pocket baggy jeans, Nobody’s high waisted shorts, LTB’s trouser suspender pants, Kill City’s mega washed skinnies, J4’s chromatic thread’s, Burn n Violet’s cut off daisy dukes, and LTB’s Boyfriend Jean!

Collaborations were all the rage for some of the Accessory brands at Project this season. Tarina Tarintino presented her Kid Robot line of jewelry which was undoubtedly one of the show’s highlights. Royal Elastics had the coolest kicks and we especially loved their lines for Andy Warhol and LAMB. Linda Farrow displayed their signature and seasonal sunglasses which explain why the company still remains the most directional and fabulous in the eyewear market! Handbags toting Fringe detail in various leather treatments were amongst the show’s trendsetting highlights. We could not get enough of the handmade, original jewelry offered by local designers. Super soft, lightweight scarves are the season’s must have item in almost any pattern.

The Cut-Away One Piece was this Season’s hot commodity at the Las Vegas Tradeshows. Styles with elegant draping and adjustable straps are the most forgiving and flattering forward options. Feminine micro florals were among the best selling prints.   We found the Paisley Patterned swimsuits in Pop Colors to be a great way to celebrate the season. Intricate Beading and unlikely Hardware are great examples of how to tactfully add extra interest by  highlighting edgy details.
