In June 2008, Premiere Vision surveyed a panel of international buyers in order to stay closely in step with the men's and women's markets. The aim of the survey was to learn their needs in terms of actualisation products for the Spring/Summer 09 season, which are intended for immediate commercialization.

In the words of the organizers, for womenswear, Spring/Summer 09 trends toward two essential and general major themes: Working Class and Tropical Tailoring. Two other strong convictions in colors and fabrics herald two outsider themes to punctuate the season with edgier propositions: Sensual Poetry and Pirate's Fiancee. The Spring/Summer 09 man opens up to refined materials, and frank decorations with softened or freshened-up colors.
