The 22nd edition of CPH Vision once again offered a fresh and diverse variety of new and upcoming Scandinavian (83%) and interntional (17%) brands for womenswear and menswear in designer and urban markets. Now attracting 23,607 press and buyers, 52% of which were international, CPH Vision is a must for scouting new trends. A fresh feminine mood adorned with delicate detailing complemented the dressed up menswear mood which used colours and prints to add a youthful casual flair.

A minimalistic approach to graphic prints meant that all-over prints were either minimized or brought down to a single image. Checks and stripes replaced eye-catching graphics of previous seasons, and brought about a more subdued and dress up feel for Spring/Summer 2009. Feminine detailing such as low cut collars, deep v-necks and above-the-ankle trouser lengths were apparent. The color palette bounced between the mellow corals, blues, greys and black, and the flouro yellow, blue and bright purple.

Founded in 2003 Desiugner's Nest brings together a selection of 35 Nordic design students to showcase their latest collections in a runway show. This year the winner of the 50,000kr award was given to Marie Louise Suhr from Designskolen Kolding, Denmark. Her geometric colour blocking and fringed mini dresses were inspired by the summer colours and free-spirited attitude of 1960s charter holidays.
