Home Fashionista Report > Trade Shows: Magic - Young Men

Magic wrapped up September 1st and the show can be summed up as the best it has been in years. We saw more brands, more browsing and more product than in years past. Highlights from the show include incredible graphics ( be sure to check out the graphics reports for more), stunning denim, very hip menswear, well styled kid’s collections and tons of variety for junior and contemporary women. Be sure to check out each section for the top trends and best brands from the show floor!

A closer look at some of the best brands yielded some important emerging menswear trends. Embellishment is moving rapidly into the mix here and it is not uncommon to see heavily embroidered yokes on jeans and non denim pieces. Blazers are still out there but they are getting screened and updated with raw and clever details. Asian art is key and is appearing on trainer jackets and polos across the board. Tigers and cranes are the visual of choice there. We are seeing short sleeved trainers in the urban area and they look newest when paired with a ‘matching’ or related tee. Polos are still out there but the soccer flavored ones are best. Screening on the inside of the neck creates buzz at the time of purchase! Finally, gangster humor, particularly Mob humor is on the rise...could Growing up Gotti have something to do with that? Take a closer look!

This is the place for ‘The Shirt’. Crinkled textures, tasteful embroideries and ‘go everywhere’ stripes are key to this great look.
