With Project and Magic showing side by side, it almost becomes necessary to pick favorites. This year the hands down fashion leader was Project with their hip and often underground brands, up to the minute styling and for the wide range of trends and topics the names here addressed.

 
 


That's not to say we should ignore Magic, the best name brands are still on the floor at Magic, but for trends and cool new looks, we turned our focus to the Project show floor. At this season's Magic, we shopped the show for the best in young men's market. Here we take an overall look at the brands that are going forward with key items and details that will drive fall 2007 into full gear!


 
   
Military
As a classic, it's interesting to see how brands are opting to update the military look. In this set, we are seeing more of a less rugged, cleaner feel apparent in tailoring techniques. These pieces say "sergeant" instead of "soldier".

Plaids

Plaids were asserted in a variety of clever interpretations. Broken and medium to large-scale plaids got the all-over treatment on sweaters, button-downs and bombers. The taped and lined blazer from Levi's Andy Warhol line added a touch of eccentricity to a classic staple.

Stripes
They're everywhere! Stripes were served up in multiple tastes from classic and offbeat to nerdy chic. There is no reason not to get this element any way you can in your updated polos, tees, and cardigans.
