ETHEREAL ROMANCE

This season's romance statement is all about lightness. Lightness in floaty fabrics like chiffon and lightness in an icy pastel color palette that touches on this season's star neutral – nude, along with soft pastels. Naturally silhouettes are just as featherweight, and there are plenty of soft dresses and tops in the lineup, many with Grecian drape influence. Rodarte started off the conversation of Ethereal Romance, and it continued to be noted on a great number of runways including Luisa Beccaria, Derercuny and Alberta Ferretti. Subtle details are of the essence, including soft ruffles, flounces and of course draping.
