This season there's a strong selection of new pant silhouettes that have cropped up (sometimes quite literally!). By far the biggest statement is that of volume, which comes in strong across all thematic trends in the form of oversize (and baggy) pants, full pants and flood pants (for a dose of utility). If you're not willing to go to those extremes, there's also the slight flare pant, which brings in just enough newness. Getting back to the cropped remark, short pants are here to stay – just take a look at the lengthy list of designers that prove it. Finally, slim pants don't disappear, and tailored slim pants are especially relevant.

Unlike full pants, oversize pants are extremely baggy with excess fabric all over. Surprisingly we see oversize pants in both casual Industrial Worker collection as well as more formal Puttin' on the Ritz collections. In the later, designers like Dior went as far as to create a sort of "balloon" pant with front pleats giving an even more oversized shape.
