It's not often that we could say that almost all designers have a similar message for the season, but this season they shout in unison, "RELAX"! Pajama dressing returns bringing in drawstring PJ pants and soft flowing fabrications.

The designers that did it best managed to work in pajama dressing in both casual and suit looks for a sophisticated air. A select few went the opposite direction (namely Alexander McQueen) and re-introduced a more masculine dressing emphasizing broad shoulders. Coincidentally, broad shoulders also topped off many pajama pants as well. Another strong direction was an Indian influence introduced by Giorgio Armani who brought in brilliant colors (fuchsia in particular) and ethnic touches such as the dhoti pant and silk fabrics.
