Threadless was one of the first online retailers to create an online community of like minded individuals with one singular focus: To produce and see tee shirts with art provided by and voted on by the members of their community.

They have thrived since day 1 and when they announced last fall that they would be opening a bricks and mortar shop, many in their midst feared the special community feel found on the website wouldn't translate to a warm and fuzzy feel in a 'real' store. Well almost a year later and the Chicago shop is flourishing! Not only do they feature their own artful tees for guys and girlies, their kids collection is also blowing out. In their basement space called their 'pop-up' retail shop, you never really know what you'll find. When we stopped in, it was a funky bag company called Timbukt2.
