For Spring 2009, MAGIC introduced a new section called ECOLLECTION. The addition comes as a result of the Green Solutions lifestyle movement. Brands exhibited environmentally conscious apparel in addition to accessories and lifestyle products. This celebration of the 'green friendly' fashion community offered designers an opportunity to showcase their eco-chic collections. Additionally ECOLLECTION provided a learning and networking environment to encourage the development of sustainable design. Some ECOLLECTION highlights include: organic cotton screenprints and threaded jewelry. Lots of eco symbolism was used for graphics including recycle signs, trees, and planets. An eco color palette was in full effect with plenty of green, lemon and natural sky hues.
