The NY flea market scene is back in full swing thanks to Brownstoners Brooklyn Flea which started in April 2008.

The atmosphere is totally chill every Sunday, where people gather to sell their goods and have a good time. There's a good mix of vintage furniture, records, clothes, jewelry, food and more – prices and quality vary from high to low end. Amongst the offerings were several clothing and jewelry vendors, and most of them had the designer selling the goods themselves, which really added to the great energy.

With temperatures in the 100s, hats were a must have and people dressed for comfort. Everyone's style seemed to have a laid-back summer vibe - almost West Coast - with less restrictive silhouettes. Cut off shorts and tanks for guys and ladies in bright summer dresses and high waist shorts. Of course a sun-kissed tan doesn't hurt either!
