Code magazine is now more than just glossy pages. The famed young design/streetwear magazine opened up a namesake shop in Amsterdam's Red Light district as a part of the Red Light Fashion project, which features product from designers in the area.

The offerings range from clothing to accessories and art from designers including Bas Kosters, End, LEW, Jeroen van Tuyl and Jan Taminiau. The two-level shop occupies a renovated old house and was designed by Zowie Jannink and Cris Bartels of the Design Academy Eindhoven. It also features a downstairs business lounge sponsored by Björn Borg, the famed Swedish brand. The idea there is that brands could use the space in anyway they want, or as they say, experience how it is to be "a lady behind the window". This is a big deal because Björn Borg is the first brand to utilize downstairs space. We've got to give it to Code for doing something outside of the normal realm of mag publishing. The tie to the design community is so important and the fact that the goods are quite cool doesn't hurt either.
