The first in a series of interactive shows, the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York hosts blog.mode: addressing fashion.

We LOVE that this is the first of any fashion exhibition to become truly interactive and promote critical and creative dialogues about fashion. The exhibit presents forty newly acquired costumes and accessories dating from the eighteenth century to present day. At the exhibit, you could participate in the “blogbar” to share your opinions.

But what really makes this exhibit stand apart from the rest is that anyone could participate virtually. Costume institute curator Harold Koda and Andrew Bolton regularly post photos of items in the collection and lengthy descriptions and analysis, that readers comment on. http://blog.metmuseum.org/blogmode/
