Wal-mart is one of the retailers that when times get tough, they get moving. Their low prices stand the test of time and are just the thing to lure the shoppers who feel that their wallets are being pinched at the pump and in their mortgage envelopes.

In short, the more Americans skid towards financial hardship, the more Wal-mart shoppers there are. That said the store has turned its attention to lowering prices and to sticking to their value formula. So while the apparel selection may not be as fashionable as it once was, it sure offers the lowest prices to those who shop here. We found one new fashion strategy in girls and juniors: Miskits.

This is a line of illustrated cats licensed to apparel by the same artist who created Bobby Jack. Are they going to follow in JC Penney’s footsteps and create a Miskits department in girls and juniors? We think so. Check out our blog on Miskits for more info!

The men’s tees include music and retro licensed Ghostbusters tee screens while sleepwear graphics are also heavily licensed with Batman and Snoopy on the roster. The Athletic looks include Starter basics and NBA licensed merchandise. Finally, great basic shirts and denim shorts are key and offer good solid value.
